Season 4

Season 5 of Good Trouble was announced on August 2, 2022.^[2] The first half of the season aired on March 16, 2023, and concluded on May 18, 2023. The second half premiere on January 2, 2024.^[3] The series was canceled on December 10, 2023. Season 5 is the final season of the series.^[4]

Synopsis[]

“Good Trouble” returns for a fifth season with the 20-something residents of Los Angeles’ The Coterie. The roommates will face their toughest obstacles yet as they’re confronted with evolving relationship challenges and new career opportunities. Through highs and lows, romance and heartbreak, The Coterie crew will lean on each other while they navigate the next stage of adulthood.

19	Mariana and Joaquin bring their evidence of Silas's crimes to the police. Career opportunities lead to complications for Malika, Alice, Davia and Luca. Gael has an idea to take a stand against his former boss.
20	What Now?	March 5, 2024
20	The Coterie crew says farewell as everyone takes control of their futures. A final piece of evidence against Silas is revealed as Mariana decides about her future with Evan and Joaquin.

With five seasons, Good Trouble has same amount of seasons as its parent series, The Fosters.
Maia Mitchell reprises her role as Callie Adams Foster in a guest starring role.
This season has the most episodes with twenty.
As of April 14, 2023, Season 5 is the lowest-watched season in the franchise, with an average of 84,000 viewers per episode and 0.3 demographic. It dropped from Season 4, which had an average of 93,000 viewers and a 0.4 demographic. This makes it the lowest-watched show on Freeform. However, it ranks higher than Freeform's recently cancelled 2022 series, Everything's Trash.^[6]^[7]
On May 9, 2023, production halted on the season as a result of the ongoing WGA picketing. The series was shooting on location in Agua Dulce, north of Los Angeles, when IATSE and Teamsters refused to cross the picket line. The set was officially closed at around 9:30 in the morning.^[8]
Cierra Ramirez made her directorial debut in episode 14.^[9]
According to Deadline, Good Trouble was given the opportunity to film some additional scenes for a super-sized series finale episode to properly wrap up the series.^[4]
