Iris Hensdale is the grandmother of AJ Hensdale and Ty Hensdale. After her son AJ's father died and their mother was sent to mentally ill institution, she took care of them. While AJ and Ty were under her care, she was diagnosed with dementia and became unable to take care of them as a result. AJ and Ty were then sent to the foster care system, and Iris started living in a nursing home. Her mental state deteriorated ever since. Both of her grandsons visited Iris periodically. However, sometime after Lucky and before Mixed Messages she died, leaving both grandsons heart broken. Mike offered to help her grandsons take care of any cost caused by her death.
