Jude and Carter also known as Jarter is the name of the friendly/romantic pairing between Jude Adams Foster and Carter Hunter.
The two meet in Meet the Fosters, the 20th episode of season 5 of The fosters, when Jude's brother Brandon Foster, and Carter's sister Eliza Foster (formerly Eliza Hunter) announce their engagement.
In season 5 episode 21, Turks & Caicos, Carter gets very drunk, and Jude takes Carter back to the ladder's hotel room. When Jude is trying to put Carter to bed, Carter kisses him. Jude stops this and Carter cries in his arms, telling him that his family just isn't as accepting as the Adams Foster Family.
In Season 2 (Good Trouble) we see Carter and Jude once again, except now, they're secretly dating. Later in the show, in Season 3 (Good Trouble) episode 4, Klompendansen, we see them yet again. In this episode Jude is reunited with his first ever boyfriend, Connor Stevens, who kisses him. Jude tells Connor that he cares about him, but he's with Carter now, and can't be with him. In this same episode, Carter comes out to his father, Jim Hunter.
