Davia and Dennis commonly referred to as Denvia is the friendship, formerly romantic, and former antagonistic relationship between Davia Moss and Dennis Cooper.
Overview[]
Their relationship was initially skin-deep as they didn't know each other. Davia would often antagonize and ridicule Dennis for his life choices and behaviors, especially his relationships with younger women. Dennis, for the most part, ignored Davia and her remarks. They started to develop an authentic friendship in "Re-Birthday". They formed a notable friendship between "Vitamin C" and "Percussions".

Season 1[]
Davia watches as Dennis says goodbye to a woman at the elevator of the Coterie. When he comes back inside Davia sarcastically claps. She admits she's surprised he had sex with a woman his age, to which Kelly chimes in asking if she missed it. Davia states that she sadly did and likens the rarity of it to an Eclipse. He asks Davia why she's so obsessed with who he sleeps with, to which she replies that it's either talk about his sex life or so-called music. He nods and sharply tells her to mind her own business and they won't talk at all. He then walks out of the room leaving Davia relatively surprised by his response.
Dennis admits to having cheated on his wife, Jennifer, who Davia meets when Jennifer arrives at the Coterie with divorce papers. Dennis later kindly warns Davia that her thing with Jeff isn’t going to end well because Jeff won't leave his wife. Davia tells him to mind his own business but later finds him on the roof of the Coterie. They sing a version of “Danny’s Song” together, with Dennis playing the guitar and both of them singing.
Season 2[]
Davia's mother, Bonnie, visits Davia at the Coterie while she's in town for an eyelift. She invites Davia and Dennis out for dinner and drinks at Douro. Dennis declines the invitation, as Davia anticipated, but he watches as she eats Chinese food before her outing. He questions her actions and she clarifies so that she won't be tempted to eat too much at dinner and, consequently, be subjected to her mother’s “well-meaning” taunts.
At dinner, Bonnie creates subtle digs at Davia for her weight, questions her dating life, and her "body-positive" Instagram account. Dennis arrives before things get heated. He sits next to Davia, who is surprised to see him. Bonnie tries to order him a drink but Dennis demurs and proceeds to order every food option on the menu, including the fried artichokes that Davia loves. Dennis' well-intentions backfire when he piles more food on her plate and adds to her discomfort around her mother.
Bonnie chimes in, asking Dennis for his perspective on body positivity, and agrees with Davia's points of view which makes Davia glow with happiness. Bonnie asks if he'd ever date a plus-size woman, to which Dennis admits he would. But when questioned further, Bonnie states that “people say they’d do a lot of things in theory, but it’s what they do in practice that tells the real truth". Dennis can’t answer the question and Davia begins to tear up as she saddens. She quickly excuses herself to the bathroom where she wills herself not to cry.
Back at the Coterie, Dennis tries to break the tension with Davia but she pushes him away. He persists but she slams her bedroom door on him angrily. He initially stops but decides against it and lets himself into her room. She yells at him for forcing her to eat in front of her mother. Dennis insists he only wanted her to feel free to be herself but Davia reminds him that he doesn’t get to tell people her secrets, just like she doesn’t get to tell his. She admits that being around her mother hurts because Davia knows she can't be herself and uses the facade to protect herself. She begins to break down and delivers a speech about her life growing up as an anorexic child and how her mother made her feel ugly. She eventually breaks into sobs and Dennis hugs her and holds her as she cries.
That night, Davia posts the unfiltered photo of herself that Dennis took on Instagram. Dennis also reactivates his Instagram account so he can like the photo.

Second Relationship (Friendship)
- Started: Between "Vitamin C" and "Percussions" - Davia became Dennis' confidant after he was released from his 48-hour psych hold.
- "Torn" - Dennis, who is still recovering from his suicidal thoughts and loneliness, visits Davia in the middle of the night and asks if he can stay with her. She agrees and they fall asleep together.
- "In the Middle" - Davia admits to Alice that she is in love with Dennis, or at least has strong feelings for him.
- "Palentine's Day" - Dennis admits that he is in love with Davia but is apprehensive to share his feelings about her due to his struggles in grief counseling. Davia began to move on and Dennis planned to confront her with his feelings, but she was high on shrooms and unable to comprehend what he would be saying. He chose not to tell her about his feelings.
- Kissed: "Trap Heals" after Davia confessed her romantic interest in Dennis and he reciprocated her feelings.

Notes and Trivia[]
- They sang together for the first time in "Imposter". This is the first time that Davia sings on-camera.
- In the same episode, Dennis warns Davia that her relationship with Jeff Maxwell won't end well since Jeff won't leave his wife.
- For her birthday, Davia compiled a list of trivia questions about herself for the Coterie group to answer. Dennis answered the most "Drivia" questions correctly out of the group.[3]
- Davia is Dennis' confidant after his release from a 48-hour psychiatric hold.
- He supports Davia's social media persona and her body-positive goal. He helps her train and took photos of her for her Instagram.
- Dennis reactivated his Instagram account for the sole purpose of posting Davia's "no filter" picture and promoting her natural figure.
- Davia asked Alice to take Dennis' mini-fridge out of his room so that he couldn't isolate himself from the rest of the Coterie.
- She admits to being in love, or at least have feelings for him, in "In the Middle".
- They broke into Dennis's old house so Davia could bake Christmas cookies in time for the festival. While there, he taught her how to properly use cookie cutters and make cookies.
- They accidentally witnessed a newly-wed couple having sex while hiding in a closet.
- Dennis gave her a galaxy necklace for Christmas after she admired his son's ceiling and he told her about the three weekends he spent making it for Jacob. Davia did get him a guitar, however, she chose not to give it to him after a conversation with Stef.
