Cortney Strathmore is a recurring character on the Freeform series, The Fosters. She was Brandon Foster's former love interest. She appears for the first time in First Impressions.

Biography
She got pregnant at a young age and gave birth to her now three-year-old son, Mason. She works at a bar where she is a bartender. She used to live in a house with her baby-daddy and husband, Eddie before he found out she was dating Brandon and kicked her out. She was saving money from her job so she could move out with Mason. Eddie stole all her money because his name was still on her bank account. Brandon got her an apartment and helped her pay rent and bills. Eddie started suing Courtney for custody of Mason. Brandon helped her pay the legal bills.
Physical Appearance
Cortney is an average height, slender woman with tan skin and dark brown hair. She usually wears minimal makeup and is seen either in her work uniform or casual girly clothes.

She is fun, free-spirited, caring, and protective of her son.

Brandon and Cortney work at the same diner. He expressed his feelings to her, but she was reluctant to start a relationship because she has a two-year-old son, Mason. Eventually, Brandon won her over and they began dating although they later broke up.

- Cortney has stated more than once that she is "older" than Brandon. In the state of California, you must be at least 21 years old in order to be a bartender.
- Cortney has a three-year-old son named Mason, which whom she is very protective of.
- Brandon sent her a break-up letter while he was in New York so that he could give his Julliard audition his all without holding anything consciously or subconsciously back. He didn't actually want to break up with her at the time.
