Chloe Hendricks is a minor character on the Freeform series, The Fosters. She is Rita Hendricks' daughter, and is diagnosed with bipolar axis 1. She appears for the first time in Daughters.
Chloe is portrayed by Marcella Lentz-Pope.
Biography[]
Chloe was born to Rita Hendricks and an unnamed father. Her parents divorced when she was young, after which Chloe lived with her father. Not long after, Chloe found her father dead from a suicide. Having already taken her parents' divorce very hard, Chloe blamed her mother for her father's death, believing Rita cared more about her work at Girls United than her own family. As a result, Chloe and Rita had a strained relationship for years, which was often worsened by Chloe's bipolar disorder.
In adulthood, Chloe often used Rita's guilt over her husband's suicide to extort money from her mother until Rita finally cut her off. Chloe regularly went off her bipolar medication, threatening to kill herself unless Rita helps her monetarily. Chloe later surprises herself by her actions and genuinely reaches out for Rita's help after a close call with an attempted suicide.
