Beau Mirchoff (born January 13, 1989) is an American-Candian actor best known for his role in MTV's Awkward.
He portrayed Jamie Hunter in Season 5 of The Fosters and continued the role in the spin-off series, Good Trouble.
Personal Life[]
Beau Mirchoff was born in Seattle, Washington but moved to his family's home in Victoria, British Columbia when he was only a few days old. His father, Bill, is a podiatrist while his mother, Kelley, is a full-time homemaker. Beau has an older brother, Luke (born 1985), who plays semi-pro lacrosse, and a younger sister, Raeanna. He is a Mount Douglas Secondary School alumnus.
In February of 2009, Beau began training at the Michael Woolson Studio - the same studio he trains at today. In 2009, Beau landed the role of Danny Bolen on ABC's Desperate Housewives. In 2010, he snagged the role of Matty Mckibben on MTV's Awkward. He won a Teen Choice Award in 2012, for his role in Awkward. During his hiatuses from television, he focused on theatre and made a name for himself there.
